That Girl: Walk In Who You Are
There was a time I would compare myself to others. I would wonder why I was a certain way.
I could literally feel myself shrink back.
But God didn’t call YOU to shrink.
He didn’t call me to hold back.
He called US to shine!
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:15,16
Walk in who you are. Know who you are. It can get tough, and it will get scary but the more you press those walls of discomfort you will see there’s not much to them.
When I first started to pray on the weekly prayer line, I would be so nervous that my voice would start shaking and I’d be running out of breath. But thank God I did it scared. After a few times my voice didn’t shake so much. I had more power to my voice. I became more confident in how I sounded and what I had to say.
Guess what? You can be that girl too. Who is she?
Bold. (Prov 28:1; Eph 3:12)
Courageous. (Joshua 1:9)
Chosen. (Eph 1:4)
A Masterpiece. (Eph 2:10)
Loved. (Eph 2:4)
Joyful. (Prov 31:25)
Powerful. (2 Tim 1:7)
Accepted. (1 Peter 2:9)
Wonderful. (Psalm 139)
That’s who you are. Receive and walk in it. It doesn’t matter what it looks like now. Start taking the first step and allow God to mold you along the way.
You are who He says you are. You are who He designed you to be. Know it. Own it. Be her!
