Strength To The Weary
The last month or 2 has been tough. Cause sis been tiiiiieed!
Have you ever worked so hard and it just seems to be an uphill battle? You know you have to keep going but you just seem to be drained. That’s where I was until recently.
If you’re there, give yourself grace. Get to the root and really ask for God’s guidance, grace, and strength.
“Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
I’m not gonna lie, this verse can be a bit annoying. I know I shouldn’t be weary but I AM! As I sat with that the frustration built because I really didn’t know what to do I just knew I felt what I was feeling. How do you gain strength when you feel you have none left to give? As I continued to cry out to God I felt a tug to go deeper.
Really Lord?!
I had to remember this is what I’ve been asking for. This call is not about me but the bigger picture God has called me to be a part of. So, I intend on digging deeper with whatever strength I have in hopes that He will multiply it, cause babayyyy!
It might be slow, but it will be intentional.
It might be emotional, but it will remain committed.
It might be more draining, but it will be filled with His strength.
Bottom line: if you’re feeling like you have nothing else to give, pause. Listen to the Holy Spirit. The road for the called is not always easy. Sometimes it’s the obstacles you can’t see that set you back too. Don’t be afraid. Don’t take it on your own. Go to God. Where He’s telling me to go deeper in prayer and fasting, maybe He will tell you to rest more, go for a walk, or spend time with family. Don’t underestimate a strategy session with the Holy Spirit.
Whatever you do, don’t stop. That would be just what the devil wanted. Don’t worry sis, you can make it. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other, one task before the next, one prayer at a time. At that moment, I felt a bit of a sigh of relief, and a new vigor in my spirit. I pray you too get the strength you need for the journey.
'“He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:29-31
