Lacking Motivation
The good thing is, I haven’t given up! That’s what I keep telling myself.
May is here and my escapades to work out have started and stopped multiple times since the New Year. I know what it is. I’m lacking motivation. I’m lacking discipline. My feelings kick in. I tell myself it’s my schedule.
Listen, I’ve switched workouts from soon as I wake up, a couple hours after I get going to the afternoon. Nothing is sticking. I’m all over the place and I don’t like it.
But I haven’t given up. If you know you’ve been slacking in taking care of your health, now is a good time to restart… again.
1. Know that you’re worth it. You deserve to have good health. To take care of your body.
2. Discipline > emotions. It’s not how you feel, it’s what needs to get done. Don’t listen to your emotions. They just want what’s comfortable. To get disciplined and have success in any area it takes discomfort. Taking care of your body is no different. Especially, when you’ve catered to it for so long.
3. Always be ready. If God answered your prayers today, would you be ready? It’s time to start and not stop.
I’m talking to myself. And if it helps you too, I’m glad we had this talk.
It’s time to lay down the excuses and start doing what’s necessary. No matter how many adjustments are needed, make a commitment, and stick to it. You’ll thank yourself later for it.
